Ethylene Control

ETHYLENE is the most potent agent of fruit & vegetable ageing and its effective absorption has proven to significantly extend shelf-life.

Some fruit will produce large amounts of ethylene as the natural ripening begins. Other fruits are susceptible to ethylene, although they produce only a little.  But in most cases it is ethylene that is responsible for the changes in texture, softening, colour, and other processes involved in ripening. Controlling it can therefore extend shelf-life.
